Faida Business OS ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

• Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, business name, and password when you register.
• Business Data: Sales transactions, inventory records, customer information, expense records, and supplier details that you enter into the platform.
• Payment Information: We do not store full credit card numbers. Payment processing is handled by secure third-party providers.
• Usage Data: Log data, device information, and how you interact with our platform to improve our services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our Business OS platform
• Process transactions and generate reports
• Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
• Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve user experience
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud and security issues

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers and is encrypted in transit. We use security measures including:

• SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmission
• Role-based access controls, with each business's data kept separate from other businesses
• Role-based access controls
• Automated daily backups of our database and servers

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

• With your explicit consent
• With service providers who perform services on our behalf (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing)
• To comply with legal obligations or protect our rights
• In connection with a business transfer or acquisition

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Export your business data

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Business transaction data is retained according to applicable tax and accounting laws (typically 5-7 years).

Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, then Account, in the Faida app or website, or at app.faida.co.bw/delete-account.html. If you cannot sign in, email support@faida.co.bw from your registered email address and we will complete the deletion within 30 days. When an account is deleted, we remove your name, email address, phone number, city, business name and VAT number, disable your login and sign you out of every device. If you are the only member of a business, that business is closed. Business transaction records (such as sales, invoices, VAT, stock and payment records) are kept without your personal identity attached for as long as applicable tax and accounting laws require, and the records of a business that continues to operate with other team members remain with that business.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and security. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the platform.
